Nominations for Council

LPTSAC 2011-2012 Officers

The following officers will serve as Livonia PTSA Council officers for the 2011-2012 school year:

  • President - Heather Broos
  • 1st Vice President - Tammy Bonifield
  • 2nd Vice President - Liz Jarvis
  • Treasurer - Stacey Dogonski
  • Recording Secretary - Allison Johnson
  • Corresponding Secretary - John Grzebik

The following Executive Board positions are currently vacant:

  • Advocacy and Legislation
    The chair of this committee keeps our membership informed of state and national PTA issues such as funding for public education and local community issues affecting parents, students and our district through a partnership with Livonia PTSA Council, Michigan PTA, National PTA and Livonia Public Schools District. Communication methods may include emails, website, newsletters (Council Courier), etc. This committee coordinates the School Board Candidates' Forum.

  • Programs and Health & Safety
    The chair of this committee is responsible for bringing awareness to our membership of health and safety issues using materials from local resources as well as Michigan PTA and National PTA. The chair of this committee also organizes programs and events that focus on child/student/community issues and parent education for our General Membership meetings which are held several times each year.

  • Student Representatives
    In accordance with Council's bylaws, two students (one delegate and one alternate) from Churchill, Franklin and Stevenson server to promote PTSA issues in their schools and report on student activities at Council's monthly meetings. Student Representatives are full voting members of the Executive Board. The Council Executive Board member who coordinates Student Representatives and Student Involvement is Becky Wood, becky.wood@livoniaptsacouncil.org. Council currently has two representatives from Franklin and is looking for representatives from Churchill and Stevenson.
